PRESSURE COOKER MARBLE CAKE

INGREDIENTS

Maida. One cup
Baking soda. 1/4 tspn
Baking powder. 1 1/2tspn
Sugar(powdered) 1 1/4 cup
Egg. 2
Milk. Half cup
Vanilla essence. 1tspn
Butter. 125gm
Cocoa powder. 2tspn

METHOD

Sieve Maida ,baking powder and baking soda together.
Melt butter in oven or pan.Beat the butter and powdered sugar.Now add egg one by one and beat the mixture till fluffy.Add vanilla essence and mix well.Now take wooden spoon and mix the Maida little by little along with milk and mix without any lumps.seperate half the batter and add cocoa powder in one of the batter and mix well.

Now take heavy bottom cooker and add one cup salt in it.cook for 5 minutes in high flame without whistle.Now place a cooker stand or a plate similar to that on the salt.Now grease the baking tin with butter and dust with Maida..Pour the batter evenly(first vanilla mixture secondly cocoa mixture) and with a knife or fork just swirl cocoa mixture and vanilla mixture to get marble effect.Now place the tin on the stand and cook in high flame for three to four minutes and for half an hour in low and medium flame.check whether the cake is done by inserting a knife.slice the cake once it cools down..

  1. The cake came out really tasty. But it was too sweet,didn't set properly and collapsed in the middle while baking. In my opinion, it might be because one and a quarter cup powdered sugar is too much for one cup maida.
    Can you check and rectify the recipe?
