Karimeen Mapaas

Karimeen - 500 gm
Ginger - 1 piece (chopped)
Garlic - 4 nos (chopped)
Onion - 1nos (sliced)
Green chilly - 5 nos (slited)
Tomato - 1 nos (sliced)
Red chily powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
garam masala powder 1tap
perujeeraka pwder- 1tblpsn
Vinegar - 1 tsp
Thick coconut milk - 1 cup
Thin coconut milk - 1 cup
Curry leaves - few
Cashew nut paste - 1 tbsp ( Cashew nut - 10 nos )
Coconut oil - 1 cup
Salt to taste

Marinate the cleaned fish with turmeric powder, chilli powder, pepper powder, vinegar and salt. Keep it aside for 10 minutes.Heat the coconut oil in a pan and shallow fry the marinated fish. It should be half cooked only.In the same pan Add chopped ginger, chopped garlic and saute for 3 minutes. Add sliced onion and green chilly then saute it till the onion becomes soft.After 5 minutes add the sliced tomato then pepper powder and perujeeraka powder garam masala pwdr and cook till the tomato becomes soft.Add medium thin coconut milk and salt. When it boils add the fried fish.Cover and cook in a low flame for 5 minutes.Add cashew nut paste and add thick coconut milk to the curry and stir slowly.Do not let the curry boil after adding the thick coconut milk.
