Eggless Chocolate Cake

Want a cake but not all the calories? Here is a cake without eggs , butter , nuts or dairy. It has good taste and texture. No fuss and easy to make.You can frost the cake with icing or ganache if desired.

Ingredients.
1 1/2 cup -maida
1 cup - powdered sugar
5 tbsp + 1 tsp- cocoa powder
1 tsp - baking soda/ cooking soda
1/2 - tsp salt
1/2 cup -olive / refined oil
1 cup warm water
1tbsp vinegar
1 tsp vanilla essence
choco chips (optional)
Method
Preheat oven to 180 degree celcius
Grease a baking dish and line with parchment paper.
In a bowl sift maida, sugar, salt and cocoa powder.Mix well.
In another bowl mix oil, water and essence.
Add the dry ingredients to the liquid and beat well.
In a small bowl ,mix vinegar and baking soda
and immediately add to the batter and mix well.
Pour into the pan.Sprinkle choco chips over the batter if using.
Bake for 35 min or till done
Insert a thoothpick and check for doneness.
Cool on a wire rack and use as required.
