Chickpeas n Apples (Vella kadala - those who don't want to use the canned one boil and cook some)

This is an interesting salad - hope you will love it. Sometimes you need to give twists in whatever you do. It is a salad by me and you may name it whatever you feel like wink emoticon

One green apple chopped...
One red apple chopped
Chickpeas one can
Cumin powder - a dash
Chili powder - a dash
Apple cider vinegar - 2 ts sp
Olive oil
Grated ginger - 1/2 ts sp
Lime juice - 1 ts sp or for flavour

(Since it is cold here in Dubai now and apples are sour and cold, I thought it would act on the acidic side and bloat tummy and have gastric influences - ginger regulates all this)

Just mix all the above well. You can even put some nuts into this like cashews walnut etc

For dressing
Ideally mine is supposed to be a diet lunch and so did not want to use Mayo n curd combination or the ready made dressing, but needed a creamy sauce. I made a sauce with one avocado as below

Avocado peeled and chopped - 1
Apple cider vinegar - 1 ts sp
Ginger - 1/2 ts sp
Lime juice - 2 ts sp
Salt to taste
olive oil
Mint leaves - a few for flavour

In your chutney jar, paste all the above to a creamy sauce. Now add to your salad cuts and mix it well.

Check salt, lime etc to your flavour!
