Aaloo Bhaji

Boil two big potatoes and mash them. chop one big onion, 2 green chillies, 3 cloves of garlic, 1/4 inch of ginger finely chopped, mustard, pottu kadala (roasted channa dal), pinch jeerakam, 2 dried chillies torn into bits,... curry leaves, corriander leaves. Put some oil in a wok, crack mustard, jeera, pottukala, dried chillies, add onions and saute, add salt, now add on chillies, ginger, garlic and saute further, add in curry leaves, and then the mashed potatoes. now add a 1/4 ts sp of turmeric powder, blend well and then a 1/4 teacup fo water... check salt.. if you feel the masala is very thick add a little more water to your liking.. turn off fire, squeeze a little lime over the curry and now add the corriander leaves to garnish!
