Chicken Liver Fry

500 gm chicken livers
1 tsp salt
1 tsp turmeric
3 tbsp oil
1 large onion sliced
6 garlic cloves crushed
2 green chilies slit
2 sprig curry leaves
1 large tomato ,chopped
1 tsp mustard+ 1 tbsp peppercorns crushed together
Marinate the liver in salt and turmeric for 1/2 hour.
Sauté onion in hot oil until brown.....add garlic, green chilies, curry leaves and tomato and continue frying for 3 minutes. Add the crushed mustard and pepper mixture and sauté on low heat for 1 minute.
Add the liver and more salt if required and continue frying on medium high flame until the liver has browned and is well coated with the spice mix.You may sprinkle lemon juice on it before serving.
Serve as a side dish...... or with ketchup as a snack.
