Masala Puffed Rice An all time favourite evening snack.


4 cups Puffed Rice
5-7 Curry Leaves
1/2 cup Peanuts
1 cup Sev
Garlic 1 pod
1/4th tablespoon Mustard seeds
1/4th tablespoon Red Chilli Powder
1/2 tablespoon Turmeric Powder
3-4 tablespoon Oil
Salt to Taste


Dry roast the puffed rice by adding turmeric powder on a low flame. After the puffed rice are roasted transfer it in a plate and keep aside. This step is only if your puffed rice has become soggy
In a deep & thick bottom pan , heat oil On medium flame fry the peanuts until light brown in color.
Transfer the fried peanuts in a bowl and keep aside.Now in the same oil add mustard seeds and curry leaves,garlic allow it to crispy. Now add the puffed rice.Mix well and stir continuously for 2-3 minutes.
Add red chilli powder & salt and again mix well.Add the fried peanuts and some sev.
Masala puffed rice is ready.
