Mexican Chilli Chicken

This can be used as a side dish for Mexican Fried Rice I posted the previous day. Also, can be used along with Rotis or Fajita. Instead of Chicken, you can try the same with Beef to make Mexican Chilli Beef.


2 Large Onions - finely chopped
3 Spring Onions - finely chopped
1/2 cup Capsicum - square cut
1 Green Chilly - finely chopped (without seeds)
3 Garlic cloves - finely Chopped (or grated)
1/2 kg Chicken - square pieces (tenderly cooked)
1 tbsp Olive Oil
3 tbsp Fresh Cream

Mexican Spice mix

2 tsp Kashmiri Chilli Powder
2 tsp Grounded Cumin
2 tsp Dried Oregano
1 tsp Grounded Black Pepper


Heat frying pan and once heated add the chopped onions, spring onions, chopped green chilli, garlic and fry until golden brown.
Once golden, move this to one side of the pan and add the cooked Chicken.
Once the Chicken is seared, sprinkle the mexican spice mix over the contents of the full pan, stir well coating everything in the pan.
Lower the heat slowly stir until the mix is perfectly set with the Chicken.
Add the capsicum and stir well for few minutes.
Add the fresh cream and mix well.

Serve hot !
