If kallu is not available prepare it with yeast.
I prepared it with yeast.

Soaked raw rice - 2 cups
Cooked rice - half cup
Coconut - 1 cup
Sugar - according to taste
Instant yaest - 1/2 tsp
Jeerakam 1/2 tsp
Shallots 3- 4
Garlic 2 / 3
Water to grind
Salt to taste

METHOD

Grind all the ingredients together in grinder. Do not add too much water and do not grind it too fine. The batter should be a thick one.

Cover it and allow to ferment about 6-8 hrs .

After it fermented nicely, add salt to taste.

Heat a pan / dosa tawa and grease it. Pour a big scoop of batter and do not spread it much.cover it and cook for a minute. flip it to the other side and again cook for a minute.

Serve it with chicken curry / kadala curry .
