Ingredients
Chicken -1 kg
Potato- 2 nos
Onion-2 nos
Garlic and ginger crushed- 1 tablespoon each
Green chilli- 3 nos
Curry leafs
Grated coconut- from one coconut
Mustard seeds- 1 tea spoon
Red chillies-3 nos, split into two pieces
Preparation
Firstly,marinate the chicken pieces with 1 teaspoon of chilli powder,half teaspoon of coriander powder,turmeric powder and one fourth teaspoon of garam masala powder
Secondly,cut the potatoes in to small cube size pieces and marinate it with half spoon of chilli powder and garam masala powder
Shallow fry the chicken pieces and once it comes to half cook add the marinated potato also. Stir fry both for about half an hour with medium heat. Take out the whole thing and splutter the mustard seeds in the same oil and add the curry leaves ,red chillies ,ginger garlic ,onions ,add some salt at this point. When the onion pieces turn to translucent texture we can add scrapped coconut then add one tea spoon of pepper powder and chilli powder ,half a teaspoon of turmeric and garam masala powder . At last add the shallow fried chicken and potato pieces. Cover the lid for 10 minutes in a low flame and the chicken thoran is ready to serve ,if u want garnish it with more curry🍃 leafs
