Preparation Time:- 15 Minutes 
Total Cooking Time:- 30 Minutes
Serves 4 to 6 Persons

Unripe green mango - 1 nos (cut into medium size pieces)
Jackfruit seeds (Chakkakuru) (washed cleaned and cut into thin slices) - 1 cup
Green Chilli - 2 nos
Grated coconut - 3/4 cup (ground into a smooth paste)
Cumin seeds-3/4 tsp.
Red chilli powder - 3/4 tsp.
Turmeric powder ¼ tsp.
Mustard seeds ¾ tsp.
Red chillies- 3 nos
Shallots- 3 nos
Curry leaves a sprig
Oil as required
Salt as required

1) Cook jackfruit seeds along with 1 cup water, green chillies and salt on a medium heat.
2) When they are half done, add raw mangoes, turmeric powder and red chilli powder and cook until they are soft and tender.
3) Grind cumin and coconut to a smooth paste and mix well into the jackfruit and mangoes.
4) Let it come to a slow boil.
5) Switch of the heat and keep it aside.
6) Heat oil in another pan.
7) Allow mustard seeds to splutter. Add red chillies, shallots and curry leaves and fry until they are brown.
8) Pour this seasoning over the curry. Serve it with rice.


Make sure the jackfruit seed is cooked properly; otherwise it will be really hard to chew.
